What is a Coordinated
Lotto Game?

Games offered by various independent operators in various juristictions jointly and in coordinated manner

Operated through common principles accepted in every juristiction

Common draw and common jackpot, but organized in every juristiction according to the applicable rules

All the stakes are pooled into a common mass and then redistributed to the winners. Because of multiple number of lotteries participating, the prize pool (common mass) is becoming higher quickly and can reach quite a high jackpot in just one week.

Due to high jackpots the game is more interesting than national draw games, which usually have lower prizes. It is also attractive because the players can win the jackpot regardless of how small or big the country is. They all participate in the same prize pool, no matter how much of the prize pool actually come from their country.

Purchasing Process
Explained

Lotteries use the following sales channels:

1. Traditional channels

  • lottery’s own points of sale
  • small local shops
  • individual, small representatives (from kiosks, exchange offices to cafes)
  • large chains of consumer goods (such as Tesco in England, Konzum in Croatia etc.)
  • large chain kiosks (like Tisak in Croatia)
  • gas stations
  • self-service machines, VLT – video lottery terminals

2. Playing remotely

  • playing over the website
  • mobile applications

Lottery’s own sale points mean that the lottery itself is the owner or the point of sale of the area where the games are sold and the sellers are employees of the lottery. In Western countries, this model was never represented. Some great lotteries, eg. France, had several representative sales points, say one in the big cities. This model is usual for the former socialist countries. Today, they mostly droped out of their own sale points and sell games through their agents.
Small local shops were favorite in England, Australia, Australia. Nowadays, they lost their position because players switched to big shopping centers.
Large chains (commercial, kiosks, gas stations) work best for lotteries because the amount of contractual and administrative jobs is reduced: One contract, one transaction for a number of points of sale and a network already built. In addition, it is a benefit to CRM and the use of consumer information that large chains collect through their loyalty programs. Self-service machines are intended to reduce employee engagement at the point of sale. They can also work completely independently, or on sites where no one is employed on their service (bus and train stations, airports).

Information about the combination from the sold ticket is then sorted on the blockchain and also sent to the TBG platform through national lottery system that is connected to the platform.

Engine Matrix

Regardless of the game matrix, the following rules have to be taken
into consideration:

  • the draw for the Jackpot will be held once or more times a week (actual day of the draw and amount of draws per week will be defined after the meeting with the lotteries and option of change needs to be included for later changes)
  • there will be two drawing machine (RNGs), for the matrix of 5/50 for main numbers with additional number 1/12. This needs to be changeable for later expansions of the participating countries. Also included needs to be the option of adding the third RNG if necessary for the third drawing machine
  • additional RNG for the add-on game/s with the same option as for the main game regarding the time of the draw and amount of draws per week/day

When buying a combination for the main game (matrix 5/50 and 1/12) you also have the option to participate in the add-on game. Lets name that option The Big Star. So, when you buy a combination for the main game you can buy The Big Star for additional 0.5€. One combination for the main game gives you the option to get one Big Star for the add-on game.

This Big Star can be used to participate in the add-on game which will be drawn each day on each full hour. Each 60 minutes will be counted as one cycle. When The Big Star will be placed in the game, it will be marked in the system as a point in time inside the 60 minutes(one cycle). The time will be marked considering minutes, seconds and tenths of a second (00:00:00:00). At each full hour there will be a draw in which RNG will draw an exact point
in time for the past hour/cycle (for example 14:12:24:08). In reality only 6-digits will be drawn. The person that placed The Big Star in the game at this time or the person closest to this time, will win a fixed prize. Besides that there will be also other winners that will win smaller fixed amounts.

The Big Star will have to be used either inside the hour in which you bought the main combination or in the weekly cycle of the main game or it will have a different due date. This is still a topic of discussion, mostly from a legal point of view. Add-on game should be an electoral option, that is to say, that it is not necessary to include all the affiliated lottery members, but only those to whom it corresponds, so the option of on/off game for the add-on game should be considered.

Just in order to make the idea of the main game more clear and ‘visible’, we will present one of the possible models of the game. In any case, this has to be changed easily anytime afterwards.

Also, the exact ‘size’ of the game, the number of its combinations and pricing as well depend on how big the nucleus of the game will be, which countries are involved and also can be adjusted (increased) after more lotteries join the game later.

Proposed mobdel is based on ‘2 EUR’ per combination, price and 50% prize pool (as explained in the 2.1)

As mentioned before, the option to participate in the add-on game would cost additional 0.5€ besides the 2€ for the main game. A fund of winnings for the add-on game would be around 75% of the payment for Bonums because the revenue from the additional game is not a fundamental goal. The one drawn on time will be the winner of category I prize. Other winners will be the two closest to him, before and after the drawn time (Category II winners) and so on until Category VII winners.
